My Story & Approach
I picked up a camera in the late 90s and never really put it down.
Not because someone told me to. Not because it was trending. Because it was the one tool that slowed everything down and made me pay attention — to light shifting across a wall, to the half-second before someone laughs, to the details hiding in plain sight that most people walk right past.
That habit never left me.
Mynians Studio is based in Winter Garden, Florida, rooted in Central Florida, and built for clients who want photography that actually does something — images that feel intentional, clean, and worth putting on a wall or the front page of a brand.
I’m not here for stiff poses, plastic smiles, or setups that look like every other photographer’s portfolio. I’m here for the real thing.
My Philosophy
Before Mynians Studio existed, I spent 25 years in technology and, before that, a few years running a professional kitchen as an executive chef. Two completely different worlds. Same core skill: stay calm, stay focused, and make sure every single piece is in the right place before it matters.
That’s exactly how I shoot.
I walk into every session already thinking about the light, the framing, the pace, and the person in front of me. I’m not winging it. I’m not hoping something good happens. I’m building the conditions for it — quietly, deliberately, without making it feel like work.
Photography isn’t about pointing a camera at someone.
It’s about reading the room, finding the light, guiding without forcing, and knowing exactly when to step back so the real moment can breathe.
No fake emotion. No awkward posing. No over-polished mess that looks impressive for thirty seconds and forgettable forever.
Just clean direction, strong composition, and images that feel like they belong in a gallery, on a wall, or at the front of a brand that wants to be taken seriously.
Background & Inspiration
My eye was shaped by editorial photography, natural light, architecture, texture, and the kind of discipline you only develop after years of working in environments where getting it wrong wasn’t an option.
I notice things because I’ve had to.
The lighting. The spacing. The hands. The expression between expressions. The quiet detail that separates a photograph from a snapshot.
